Booking Terms & Conditions

All booking must be made in advance.

New riders must complete a rider registration form before they ride and agree to the riders code of conduct below.

Payment for lessons must be made before you ride.

Riders are expected to arrive for their session a minimum of 10 minutes before their scheduled session. Sessions will not run over time if you arrive late.

We have a strict maximum weight policy of 14 stone. Instructors may request to weigh riders if they believe anyone may exceed this limit or to match them to the correct horse. If you are found to be above our weight limit you will still be required to make full payment for the booked session.
CANCELLATION POLICY - Any cancellations must be made 24hrs before the scheduled appointment or full payment will be required.
No shows will need to be paid in full and will not be able to make a future booking until payment is made.
WHAT TO WEAR?
Suitable footwear must be worn for riding - no trainers or flat shoes. Shoes/boots must have a small heel.
Long trousers/leggings must be worn when riding - no shorts, dresses or skirts allowed.
Riding hats must be to the approved standard. Please check the current standard before purchasing a hat, riders will be refused to ride with a helmet not up to the correct standard. We do have hats available to use at the centre and approved hats can be purchased in our onsite shop.
HORSE RIDERS’ CODE OF CONDUCT - upon making a booking you agree to the code of conduct.
• I understand that working with horses and riding at any standard has inherent risk and that all horses may react unpredictably on occasions.
• I may fall off and could be injured. I accept that risk.
• I understand that instructions are given for my safety and agree to follow instructions given to me by staff and instructors while on site and/or under their supervision.
• I understand that the establishment will make decisions based on information I give them and agree to always be honest and volunteer information about:
• my abilities and riding experience;
• any previous riding accidents;
• any medical condition(s) which may affect my ability to ride and ongoing changes to my condition(s) and medication (including possible side effects).
• I reserve the right not to ride or interact with a horse allocated to me and may request a change of instructor.
• I understand that wearing an appropriate safety hat and footwear may reduce the severity of an injury should an accident happen and agree that I will always wear an appropriate riding hat and footwear while riding, leading and grooming horses at the establishment.
• I understand that children are at particular risk around horses and agree that I will keep children that I am responsible for under close supervision when they are not being instructed by the establishment.
• I understand that the establishment may refuse my request to ride or participate in any activity for safety or operational reasons.
• I understand that Jumping carries enhanced risk over and above general riding and agree that if I choose to participate in any competition or event, it is up to me to ensure that I have the experience and ability to ride the course including any jumps which form part of it.
• I understand that I must obey the instructions of the instructor and must comply with the Health & Safety requirements of the establishments.
